Watch: A Year in New Zealand
Novice looking for more sailing experiences
Hi there! My name is Karin, I have been travelling nearly two years in New Zealand and Australia. I'm shortly heading back to Queensland for another sailing trip if all goes well. My plan is currently to leave from Darwin in September, flying to Indonesia.
I’m really keen to experience and learn a little bit (or a lot!) about sailing. Since I joined Crewbay, I crewed on a catamaran for two weeks sailing from Cairns to Hervey Bay. While my duties were very light, I enjoyed learning some basics of sailing, took on the majority of cooking (no one starved), night watches and carried out general boat duties. I've also enjoyed myself a lot on the catamaran and definitely would like to continue with adventures out at sea.
Little bit about me! Love travelling (obviously), outdoors, and I do a fair bit of wildlife photography. After spending the last decade working in corporate environments, I just want to live a little more, enjoy everyday adventures, and make the most of my ability to take time off from reality.
I’m mature with plenty of life experience and common sense, happy to help with any chores, and keen to learn new skills.
