Please let me introduce myself- my name is Carla and I am looking at stew, stew/ cook or stew/ deck roles for the upcoming season. With a varied background in elite sports, hospitality management, wealth management, and a burning desire forged by my Devon roots to embrace the sea and adventurous travel, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my diverse skills and unwavering work ethic to your team.
In my previous role’s, I embraced and enjoyed testing environments that demanded adaptability and commitment to excellence. I successfully managed complex logistics, including rota scheduling, health & safety compliance and inventory management. I am no stranger to “Hands on Tasks” from scraping barnacles and mussels from the hull, cleaning and sorting bilge pumps or stepping in as sous-chef (not all at the same time I hasten to add!). No matter the context, I always approach a task with determination and, when needed, a dry sense of humour but always with a smile. My experience has honed my ability to think on my feet and handle multiple responsibilities effectively, while still providing high quality customer service.
My education and sporting background have instilled in me a strong sense of teamwork, dedication and emotional resilience, qualities that are necessary for life on the high seas!

Very good Crew for three weeks
Carla was on the boat with me for about three weeks. During this time we took the ship from Nassau in the Bahamas to Fort Lauderdale and sailed extensively through the Berry Islands and the Bimini Islands. We had everything, from strong winds to too little wind to thunderstorms. Since we were only two of us, we shared all the tasks. Her main focus was first mate and provisioning, I took care of the sailing and route planning. Carla helped me everywhere and settled in very quickly. Even changing watches during the night was no problem. I would take Carla as crew again at any time and can only highly recommend her.
