Looking for a Novice Crew or Friendship position
Hello- I've just joined Crewbay. My sailing experience has been mostly on dive boats in the Caribbean and Berry Islands some years ago. I'm a competent diver with hundreds of dives, although they were more than 7-years ago. I've been a registered nurse historically and have medical skills that include ER and critical care experiences. I'm pretty easy-going in tense situations and like to be an effective team member. I'm also a pretty good chef and have had a catering business historically. I really am a novice re: sailing and would need to learn most things about being a competent crew member. I'm also a mosaic artist and sculptor and am proficient with many tools and scaling large projects. I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew or Friendship. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!

Thank you, Theresa, for your review. On a personal note, regarding Theresa, she is full of spirit and one of my life friends, hopefully, for which I'm happy to have in my circle. Sailing attribute: Theresa came as a novice, but she has certainly not left as one. The good thing about Theresa is that she knows her limitations and will never be in the shadows for asking for advice. For that, I'm extremely grateful that she felt comfortable at any time of the day or night to call me to the helm for clarification when she was on watch. It certainly was a baptism of fire in the weather we had and she took it well. However, she mentioned Questina in her review as an old boat ?. Yes, but absolutely solid, and I'm so pleased I was with Questina than any other modern boat. Water ingress could have been determined a lot earlier if it were highlighted earlier. Alll boats encounter problem's, no matter what their age in harsh conditions, especially after 3 months at sea. So, with Theresa and the crew she sailed with havijg little or no mechanical knowledge, I consider her comments an unfair judgment for her to determine the yachts capabilities, in that Theresa resigned Questina to coastal sailing only. I just need to put the page straight that Questina is formidable and that all repairs are underway and wil be ready to sail again in November 2024. However, thank you for the comments about my own diligence.. Take care.
