Looking for a Paid-work , Voluntary work or Delivery Crew or Chef-Deckhand position
Hi everyone!
What am I looking for?
I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Voluntary work or Delivery Crew . I want to meet new people from different cultures, share collective experiences, improve my English and specially learn to sail!.
I' m looking for skippers with sailor common sense, well-maintained boats and up-to-date safety. Also that they have the desire and patience to teach how to navigate and with my level of english. .
I like to learn, work hard and share living expenses, but not pay for your business or leisure travel.
I 'm open to meeting nice skippers (specially women and i know it's difficult) with whom there is a good connection and we can do longer sailings in the future
I'm not looking to be a decoration on deck and i don´t looking for a partner/ lovers (i think if you looking for lovers maybe you can try in Tinder)
About my availability ....
All years I'm available from November 1st to April 20th. The rest of the months I work as a ranger in a Spanish national park high mountain.
I think it' s important to live and sail together for a few time before making ocean crossings ;)
About me...
- I have worked in many different things so I' m very versatile and i know how to work hard.
- Rarely i'm seasick, sometimes the one or two first days with bad sea.
- I' m nice, responsible, friendly, non-conflictive and easy to get along with. And i'm short! ... perfect size for share a boat ;)
- I like to cook and help with boat maintenance...I love DIY and i'm good for that! I have experience with wood repair, changing engine parts, sewing sails, waterproofing hatch, complete treatments of the hull...etc
- I don't speak perfect English (I'm studying B1 now) but that has never prevented me from communicating and having beautiful friendships with English-speaking people.
- Day skipper course (PER) and the basic maritime safety training (STCW) so I have the sailor's passport.
- I'm vegetarian but it's not complicated
- I don't smoke or take drugs, sometimes one beer. i like sport training daily
- Open minded (nudist etc)
About my sailing experience...
I have a good friend who is a professional recreational skipper who has a 12 meter aluminum monohull sailboat and I have sailed the last two winters with him (8 months)
Two winter season ago we crossed the Atlantic and sailed through Caribbean and the previous winter we sailed from Barcelona through the Canary Islands and Madeira.
And after sailing those wonderful 8 months of adventure I fell in love with sailing and the sea and I want more!!
I completed in 2024 the day-skipper (PER) and the basic maritime safety training (STCW) so I have the "sailor's passport". You can contract me if you want.
I have always cooked and cleaned on the boat, in addition to helping with maneuvers, piloting the dinghy and help with all maintenance, make effective guards, dive....etc
If you have any questions do not hesitate to write to me klaupf@proton.me or whatssap/telegram

Cheers and good winds!
