Looking for a Mile Building or Competent Crew Position
Hi, I own a 1970's Guy Thompson 31 Sailing Yacht moored on Menai Straits in Wales, U.K. and have been sailing for 5 years. Prior to that I owned a Humber Dive RHIB for 4 years. I'm retired now, but fit and healthy, go to the gym, cycle, hike and scuba dive. I have already done two crew volunteer positions in 2024, one around Scotland and Northern Ireland, and one from La Rochelle in France. I am looking for more opportunities to crew and gain more experience, UK, Europe and Worldwide. I have a RYA Yachtmaster qualification, Power Boat Handling qualification and hold a Marine VHF operators qualification / licence. I am a qualified Electronics Engineer (in 2021 I did a full rewire of my yacht), and have Mechanical Engineering and Engine maintenance experience. I’m easy going, great sense of humour, always willing to listen and learn (every day’s a school day!) and can cook, even without the aid of a can opener!
