Experienced Offshore Sailor – Keen on Fast, Hands-On Sailing
I grew up sailing a Nicholson 31 in the North Sea and North Atlantic, so I know my way around a boat and thrive in challenging conditions. Foul weather? No problem. I prefer proper sailing over leisurely bathing trips and enjoy an active, engaged crew dynamic.
I can helm, assist with navigation, mooring, lines, and manoeuvres. I keep a close eye on the boat’s condition, can spot issues early, and I’m handy at improvising and fixing things when needed. That said, I don’t have a formal license, and there’s always more to learn.
I love monohulls—the feel, the heel, and the way they handle. Multihulls? Not my thing. I just can’t appreciate the way a catamaran rolls.
Beyond sailing, I’m social, watch out for the crew, and keep a good atmosphere on board. Just don’t expect gourmet meals—I’m not a great cook!
Looking for a crew position on fast, performance-oriented passages. If that sounds like your kind of trip, let’s talk!
