Dear Shipmates! I am Carlos, but my friends call me Cadu. I have been working on the corporate side most of my life and as age goes by I have been strongly considering a major shift in my professional and lifestyle status. After living on a island (Ilhabela) for more than 4 years my love and curiosity for the "life at sea" has increased a lot! I have studied and practiced sailing and water sports ever since and ultimately I am preparing myself alongside my partner to move into a sailboat for the next phase of our lives, and we recently moved to Portugal - I am a Portuguese citizen. I have a passion for motorcycles and have traveled America and Europe (Eastern Europe) on two wheels. I am looking to acquire even more experience in the sailing / yachting world to live a different lifestyle, become a self-sufficient sailor and be able to travel around either with my partner or working in the industry with any great crews I may find myself with!
I’m certified by IYT as Deckhand, VHF Operator & RIB Master Power Boat Lvl 2 and seeking my next certifications in Aug/Sep 2024 (STCW, AEC 1 and 2), ultimately I seek to build mileage to be able to apply for the Yachtmaster Coastal Certification by RYA
