Looking for an Engineers position or Deckhand
Hi Captains, HOD's and Recruiters, I'm interested in finding a position as an Engineer or Deckhand.
Fairly new to the industry, starting in March 2023 on charter vessels in Scotland, as a Engineer, in July 2023 I moved to a new build 24M yacht, as Deckhand/Engineer where I am still currently employed.
Having enrolled with Solent university on the SV Second Engineer training course/program (Alternative route, due to my mechanical background), I have my Training Record Book (TRB) in hand along with my AEC1 qualification. I'm looking to complete the AEC2 course this winter with my next ideal position being a 2nd or 3rd Engineer on a bigger vessel, where under the guidance of a Chief Engineer, I would have the opportunities to gain the training, knowledge and sea time required to progress through the SV Second Engineer course as quickly as possible, With the overall ambition to become a Chief Engineer.
I'm also looking forward to meeting and getting to know some new people!
