Looking for sailing opportunities in Europe and the Caribbean.
Hi - I'm interested in sailing (related) work or opportunities in Europe and the Caribbean, e.g. working for a charter company doing deliveries, customer briefings, or administrative work. I'm experienced, fit, smart, calm and fun.
I do have the Finnish commercial license, but alas not an equivalent international one. I do have the international SRC and have done extensive First Aid training (Wilderness First Responder). I am an experienced sailor, and worked in my free time as skipper and instructor doing 3-5 week long voyages with groups of teenagers, all over the Leeward and Windward Islands. I also lived there for several years and did a dozen or so deliveries for charter companies. Last summer I sailed my own Pogo 8.50 from Lisbon to Finland, mostly solo. And last winter was part of a professional crew of three doing a delivery across the Atlantic. I'm happy to be a friendly crew member, always interested in learning from others.
I am calm and reliable but definitely not boring! For example I'm a trained scientist, software engineer, and also circus instructor :) On my own boat I've recently replaced the diesel engine for an electric one so I know a fair bit of boat electrics etc.
