Looking for a Novice Crew, Stew/Deck, Deckhand or Diver position
Hi there, I’m an adventurous 29 year old female from the U.K. and a PADI certified Divemaster. I’ve spent the past 2 years in Central/South America and the Caribbean and speak a good level of Spanish; I have worked in various roles including a Tour Guide/Translator through the San Blas Islands (Guna Yala, Panama) and as a Divemaster in Little Corn Island (Nicaragua) aswell as various hospitality roles in hostels, bars and restaurants. Im looking to gain some experience and meet new people through crewbay; I’m extremely versatile and open to trying any role available - I currently have 1070 nautical miles and 5 weeks of sailing experience through the Caribbean with periods up to 1 week in passage between San Andres (Colombia) - Kingston (Jamaica) - Cartagena (Colombia). I was responsible for 2 watches per day including a night watch. My previous boat was a 30ft sailing monohull although I am excited to gain experience with other types of boats and sailing/crewing styles. I have a first class masters degree in Astrophysics and previously worked within the U.K. space industry, in both technical/engineering and project management roles. I’m am highly organised and a logical problem solver seeking a new career path. I am ideally looking for an Atlantic crossing later in the year but can be flexible for the right opportunity!
