Highest yachting certificate: AEC 2.
Logged days at sea: 493 (Australia) + 9 days Bahamas. (3 months Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands not logged because captain dismissed)
Trade: Electrician, 30 years of experience. I have extensive knowledge of ventilation, lighting, heating, cooling, water management, frequency converter and other technical systems.
Present job: Automation service technician
Last job: MY Bella Luna. Benetti Delfino 95ft Sole engineer/Deckhand (80/20)
Before that: Andiamo. Azimut 122ft. Sole engineer/Deckhand (80/20)
Other yachting experience: 3 years in Cairns, Australia both on deck and under the water (Glass bottom/Dive instructor). PADI OWSI.
Boat licence: Power boat 2 + Restricted coxswain (Australian).
Engine skills: Repairing own cars and motorbikes and service on building emergency diesel generators.
Plumbing skills: Put in my own inground pool and two bathrooms.
Maintenance programs: PC savvy. Central operational control programming, Excel, AV/IT competent.
Growing up in Auckland, New Zealand it was easy to be attracted to the sea. This and a divorce are the reason for my career change back into yachting.
