Looking for boat and company to crossing the Atlantic direction carribeans in Nov./Dec./Jan 2025/2026
Hi - I'm interested in finding good boat and good company to cross the atlantic to the carribeans in 2025/26. My time slot is approximately between Nov 25th and February 2026.
My sailing skills are poor. Nonetheless I have some experience in sailing from Great Britain to Spain (over the biscaya) and Portugal (and back to Germany) some years ago on a 36ft steel yot with a friend. We started with him as an advanced sailor and myself as a learner. The journey was meant to go around the world but due to some unexpected private incidents we unfortunately need to cancel it before going to the canaries and crossing the atlantic.
So I am used to some bluewater sailing, life on board, did some navigation, lot of night duties and of course what was needed to navigate the boat. Nonetheless I have some mechanical skills concerning engines.
I am an open-minded being always curious to listen to different perspectives and truths. I am communicative, friendly, flexibel with good humour and some good perseverance (if needed).
I am in good shape, healthy. I am non smoker, like to drink a glass of vine or a beer from time to time but have absolutely no problems if a 100% drug free policy is established on board. I sometimes eat meat or fish but am also happy with vegetarian food. I am not a 5-star-chef but some creative cooking is on my list.
