Looking for a Deckhand, Lead Deckhand position
Hi my name is Jacob I’am 30 living in far North Queensland Australia and I currently serve as a first officer on a Bavaria 44X racing and cruising crew as a volunteer but I’m looking at moving to doing it professionally as a hireable deckhand to help people with long passages, charters or as a crewman for Super yachts so I can fund my studies. Im also interested in doing seasonal or yacht work to gain more experience and miles on a variety of different vessels.
Professionally I am a vehicle mechanic and technician specialising in electronics. I have years of experience on boats from sail boats, fishing boats and large charter vessels all thanks to living so close to the Great Barrier Reef. I am currently a university student studying Biomedical science and transferring into medicine so I’m only available during breaks such as December & January.
I believe that working aboard vessels will suit my life perfectly because I plan to live on my own sail boat and travel the world one day. It would be great to have the experience.
