My name is Marek, and I am a 36-year-old sailing and motor yacht captain from Poland. I am actively seeking a position as a Captain, Charter Skipper, First Mate, First Officer, Navigator, or Delivery Crew.

As a certified Yacht and Motorboat Master, I am eager to continue building my expertise and expanding my experience in the dynamic world of sailing and yachting. I am passionate about the sea and committed to bringing professionalism, skill, and enthusiasm to every role I undertake.

I've been sailing since I was 14 but gained most of my sea experience:

2018 Crew, Plymouth, UK to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria on a 37 feet sloop,
2019 Crew, Porticello, Sicily to La Linea de la Concepcion, Gibraltar on a 39 feet ketch,
2021 1st Mate, Cartagena, Spain to Ibiza, Spain and back on a 82 feet sloop,
2021/2022 1st Mate, Mallorca, Spain to Guadalupe, Caribbean on a 54 feet catamaran,
2022 1st Mate, Guadalupe-St.Maarten-St.Barth-Martinique doing yacht deliveries,
2022 1st Mate, Martinique to Panama on a 40 feet sloop,
2022 1st Mate, Vilamoura, Portugal to Combarro, Spain on a 72 feet ketch, there season around Galicia, Vigo, Baiona, Sanxenxo, Santradan, Aldan, then back to Vilamoura,

As both captain and crew, my responsibilities included:
- Command and navigate the vessel safely across various regions, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations
- Plan and execute passages, including route plotting, weather analysis, and risk assessment
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all onboard systems, including engines, rigging, and navigation equipment
- Ensure all certifications, logs, and documentation were up-to-date and aligned with maritime legal requirements
- Supervise, trained, and managed crew members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Schedule crew duties, watch rotations, and ensured proper rest periods for optimal performance
- Mediate crew conflicts and maintained a positive onboard working environment
- Act as the primary point of contact for owners and charter guests, ensuring their needs and preferences were met
- Design custom itineraries, coordinating stops, activities, and excursions to deliver memorable experiences
- Maintain the highest standards of hospitality and discretion for high-profile clients
- Direct maintenance schedules, ensuring the yacht was in peak condition, both cosmetically and mechanically.
- Coordinate repairs, refits, and inspections with external contractors and shipyards.
- Monitor fuel, water, and provisions usage, ensuring efficient resource management during passages.
- Manage budgets for fuel, provisions, port fees, and repairs, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
- Keep meticulous records, including logbooks, expense reports, and maintenance logs.
- Operate tender boats and assisted with guest transfers and water sports.
- Perform regular inspections of the vessel to identify and address potential issues.
- Welcome guests onboard, assisted with luggage, and ensured they were briefed on safety protocols.
- Organize and facilitated guest activities, including excursions, fishing trips, and snorkeling adventures.
- Participate in safety drills and ensured all emergency equipment, such as life rafts and fire extinguishers, was operational.
- Assist in medical emergencies, administering first aid as required.
- Support the captain in maintaining a clean and organized deck, ensuring the safety of all onboard.
- Perform routine checks on engines, generators, and auxiliary systems under the supervision of the captain.
- Assist with minor repairs and system troubleshooting during voyages.
- Maintain inventories of spare parts, tools, and supplies.
