I'm interested in finding a position as crew, with a preference towards longer passages. I can help you sail your boat safely and joyfully to wherever you migh be going.
I used to live on a gulet in the Turkish Mediterranean, and have spent many years crewing on race yachts on Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana and sailing the Sea of Cortez and Pacific on several passages. In 2022 I crewed on several yachts crossing the Mediterranean from Sicily to Morocco, then served as First Mate on a passage from Spain to the Canaries off the coast of West Africa, and on an Atlantic passage from Malaga, Spain to the Caribean. I am looking to widen my knowledge and experience, as well as to experience a number of different types of boats, as my wife and I are looking for one that is right for us.
I have extensive travel experience (70+ countries), and am easy to get along with. I'm also very resourceful and am good working on a team. I make my living through my writing and photographs. Seeking to buy my own boat within a few years.
