Mile building/Skipper/Competent crew position for sailing in 2024
Interested in finding a position as a Competent Crew/Skipper/Mile building for sailing during the following summer 2024.
I have sailing experience obtained by sailing on the North Sea (two four-day legs), south-west Norwegian coast/fjords, Grevelingen lake (the Netherlands), Greek islands in Saronic Gulf. Also I'm RYA Day Skipper and Marine VHF radio operator.
Healthy, energetic, in excellent physical and mental condition, communicative, know how to listen, eager to learn; seaworthy (not prone to seasickness) with high level of stamina, calm under the sea-storm conditions.
I'm good at night sailing (night navigation/night watches), able to stay awake (for the night watch shifts) and focused for a long time.
I'm capable of of living on a boat for a longer period with other people, very economical with water and electricity usage.
Apart from this, I'm a linguist, researcher, language teacher, coffee and music lover, passionate reader, cannoli siciliani eater and maker (+ other fine or fast cooking - make good guacamole -:)! and mojito!!), cyclist, a very good swimmer.
Cheerful, giving good vibes, smiling, tolerant...but do not draw from difficult topics and not afraid of speaking up my mind.
Non-smoker, non-vegan (sorry, but I'm a human being who needs reasonable amounts of meat and fish so that my organism can work properly!!)
Available for sailing at the beginning of June 2024 (a week) and from the beginning of July 2024 (the whole month); August - negotiable; September - for short term sailing (from a prolonged weekend sailing up to two-week sailing).

Not the average skipper....
I was so fortunate to have this total newbie on my trip to Norway. We ended up together being one of the 3 teams for this long tough crossing at 8 Bft for three days. What a woman ! She is a strong personality and with her long posture she might not fit in every sailing boat. A very quick learner and fully seaworthy. Never spotted with a bucket in het hands. Very interested in electronic navigation and all tools and gizmo’s Blauwvoet has mounted. Not afraid of (very) cold water. Jups into the water spontaneously in every harbour, not minding temperature or clothing. She is able to run a month on a very small luggage bag and still magically show up overdressed (including high heels…on a yacht!) for the obligatory poker parties evenings in harbours. Talking about poker, she will and shall ruin you, leaving you naked and broke at the table. Sailingwise a real gem as my trip inspired her to go for the RYA Yachtmaster and now one year later coming from zero experience she is a skipper ! Some unusual skills like hunting, shooting (trained in Serbian war, not just on fake targets), Rakija drinking (champion level), table dancing and fine cooking. Will not function mornings without a proper coffee. Very economical on showering not minding to share water with a teammate ;-). Impossible to get drunk. Stayed totally calm when we got hit by a hurricane bending the boat till the boom into the water. But gets stress from ordinary boring people and their behaviours (like I do…) She joined me on two more trips so I must have been a very annoying captain…. In a few words, if you are looking for a non-boring sailing trip and you need a qualified skipper that will bring fun and enticement outside sailing hours, Milevica is the woman you need. Highly recommend !!
