Experienced Coastal Skipper, but now looking for a Competent Crew or Friendship position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I am a fairly experienced (~5000nM) RYA Coastal Skipper/ICC looking for new sailing experiences, and hopefully making new friends along the way! I have recently sold my own boat (a 36' Jeanneau) simply because there are many other things I want to do. I want to keep sailing though and so I am hoping that crewing for others may bring more flexible opportunities.
Most of my sailing has been done in the Med, and whilst I am very much open to opportunities there of course, I would be equally prepared to travel further afield. I would also be happy to join anyone who has just learned to sail or bought a first boat, to be able to share my experience and help them along the way.
I am a retired but very active Brit (and very young at heart!) and living in Portugal. I am very easy going and happy to share all boat tasks. Non-smoker and social drinker. I can supply references from crew I have had in the past on my boat if required. Subject to Covid restrictions, I am happy to travel to wherever there are good sailing opportunities to be had! Hoping to hear from you if you think I could fit in.
