Looking for a Competent Crew position
TLDR:
Looking to cruise or make a passage on a large catamaran before buying my own, more interested in Catana and Outremer. Experienced skipper with 2 trans-pacific on my own 37' monohull.
I did a full ASA training course with offshore credentials and I am used to spend weeks in a tight place with other crew, always with the most positive attitude. When s**t hit the fan, like we lost our autopilot half way to Tahiti, kept my calm and figure solutions. Did have some "exciting" sea conditions and long solo passages (up to 4 days), i.e. trying to be a self confident self sufficient sailor with good spirits. Great health condition and if it happened to me to be sea sick in the early days of a trip - building my sea legs - this never been incapacitating.
Just sold my old Tartan 37', not comfortable enough or big for my next planned adventure ("gone cruising"). Did try a 43' Cat and that was the ahah moment. Now refining which model will work for me.
