Multilingual, hard worker, quick learner - looking to sail long term and learn as much as possible.
Hi there, I'm an adventurous, easy-going, not too prone to sea-sickness sailor girl. Happy to get involved with cooking, cleaning and handy at fixing things, plenty of initiative and humour, and eager to learn as much as possible about the ins and outs of sailing and running a boat. I am also a qualified personal trainer and nutritionist and can help with keeping the crew for and healthy.
A bit about me; I am half Spanish half Italian but born and raised mostly in London, I speak fluent Spanish and decent French. I used to be a personal trainer but gave that up to work with kids in a children's home. I am now looking for a new adventure and am keen to travel and learn more about sailing, meet new people and learn from other cultures.
Sailing experience: Earliest experience (16years old) Completed Comptetent Crew and sailed from the UK to France. In my 20's - sailed from Barcelona to Mallorca and worked on boats in Ibiza. After that, not much sailing as I had kids and moved back to London and spent the last 21 years raising them.
6 years ago I sailed from Antigua to St Maartin and took part in the Heineken Cup, we sailed the boat back to Antigua after the cup and I helmed the boat during my night watch.
I have just completed a 3 week sailing trip from Ireland to Canary Islands which involved crossing the bay of Biscay.
I would like to broaden my sailing knowledge travelling around the world. I am open minded about destinations etc so if you think I would be a good crew member for you please get in touch.

Alexa has crewed with 3 others including myself on a trip from Waterford to Tenerife with stops in Muros, Dos Santos, Las Palmas and San Miguel de Tenerife. She did night watch’s,day watch, and anything needed around the boat. She speaks perfect Spanish and has been involved in business in London so knows how to deal with officials. She keeps her own area tidy and clean and is always available for any task that needs help night or day. All in all a worthy addition to any boat.
