I'm Raf, itching to join as a Captain, First Mate, or Delivery Captain.
Currently wrapping up an epic charter season in the Virgin Islands with clients leaving only stellar reviews and ratings! :). Recently, I successfully delivered a newly built Moon Yacht Catamaran from Gdańsk to the US Virgin Islands and meticulously prepared the Azimuth 100 Jumbo for charters, managing the entire process as the Captain. This experience further solidified my skills in technical and formal yacht preparation, crew coordination, and guest service in US/BVI waters.
I'm all set to showcase my skills, and here's the kicker: if you or the clients aren't thrilled in the first few days of our cruise, I won't even take a penny. That's how confident I am in what I bring to the table!
I've been sailing for over 20 years, navigating through all sorts of waters. Monohulls, catamarans - you name it, I've sailed it. I've handled tough situations and made sure everyone on board has a blast. As a commercial captain or 1st Mate, I've recruited and managed crews, planned voyages across the ocean, and navigated complex routes including on the Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean, Baltic, and North Sea in autumn and winter or through the Panama Canal. Paperwork? Consider it sorted, from customs to immigration.
I’m also set for worldwide travel and technical challenges. Engineering, electronics, hydraulic systems - you name it, I've handled it. From upgrading batteries to meticulous yacht maintenance, I'm all about the details.
I've got the certifications to back it up: PYA Yacht Master Ocean, unlimited both sailing and power, PYA Sailing Tutor, RYA SRC, STCW95, ENG1, or PADI OWD. And when it comes to travel, I've got all the docs for hassle-free worldwide trips.
I've spent over 30 years running businesses in sales, marketing, and investments, bringing a boatload of stability and know-how to the game. On top of that, I've got 7 years of hands-on experience running a company in the sailing industry. We specialized in organizing cruises and handling deliveries with a top-notch crew. I've learned firsthand what it takes to ensure smooth sailing, literally and figuratively, when it comes to managing and delivering exceptional sailing experiences.
