Looking to gain experience, see remote places, and share good times

Hi - I’m looking forward to meeting new people, seeking some adventure and exploring new lands.

Previously I worked as an interior designer/architect for many years. I’ve since stopped everything and have been slowly making my way around the world.

A few years ago I crewed a sailboat from the Marshall Islands to Alaska and discovered a new love for the sea. Now I’m looking to gain some more experience and continue the adventure.

I’m a really easy going person, but I’m also very hard working. I make no fuss, I’m fit, and comfortable with the sea. I’m clean, tidy, and conscientious. I love most all foods and love cooking too. I also get along well with most everyone and have an appreciation for the unexpected.

Lastly I speak some Japanese and Mandarin Chinese too. Currently beginning to study Spanish.

Looking forward to the good times!

If you ever dreamed about having an Asian restaurant on your boat...

5

Christopher: An American claiming to be half-Japanese even barely speaking a word in that language. Did not believe him until he started cooking these weird 5 star Michelin Guide level Asian dishes. The man who succeeds turning just a single crab catch into a sushi party for 6. Very high galley standards. Weird sailing properties. Not a single problem on the forward trip, but spend the whole return trip sleeping and puking. Of course he did not listen to captain’s advice to leave (even very early) with a full stomach. Now he knows… Tried to do a 25km hike on slippers, ruined them after 1 mile and then tried to borrow even buy Captain’s slippers. Americans think they can buy everything. Gets up quite early and then starts speaking about various subjects till bedtime. Only silent when seasick. Apart from his sailing ambitions a top level pet-sitter, has been working for all the rich and famous and now tries to combine this with sailing lifestyle. Has very high standards in sharing space with another (female) roommate. Roped himself completely up against the wall in order not to touch her, even in rough seas with 35 degrees heeling. Once at the destination he completely disappears ashore for hours. Just look for the nearest free wifi spot and you will find him. Probably secretly gambling online or managing his assets on stock market. After 6 weeks we did not find out. Best kept secret.
