Looking for a Competent Crew position, Eastern Canada / North America
Hello,
I have spend many hours lake sailing dinghies since my 20s (born in '62). Recently, I have experience crewing on a trip from Guadeloupe to BAH then to fort Lauderdale in a Lagoon 42 and another from Puerto Vallarta to La Paz in a 40 ft steel-hulled ketch. I have restored a San Juan 21 swing keel and i regularly race Sunfish dinghies each summer.
I have ASA Keel Boats and Coastal cruising plus a Canadian VHF operators certifications. i have a good knowledge of mechanics.
Born August 1962; Married 35+ yrs; Two sons, 25 yrs old (Landscape Architect) & 27 yrs old (Mechanical Engineer).
Career: Retired. I owned and operated a custom country-house design-build company in the Laurentian mountains north of Montreal Quebec, Canada for 35 years. I designed and built turn-key custom houses to LEED (green) standards.
Interests: My favorite activities are Yoga, Mountain biking, Motorcycling, Skiing, Sailing, being in nature. I have coached Skiing, Rugby and Soccer. I am presently a professional ski instructor at Mont-Tremblant, Quebec.
I am fit, strong and do not consume too much food nor alcohol.
I have many interests and can relate to and converse well with most anyone. I enjoy people and profound conversations. I am easy-going, open-minded and respectful. I am earnest, self-aware (at least I think so) and am on an ongoing quest for greater enlightenment.
