Looking for positions as Captain or Officer/Mate
I am looking for a long-term commitment on a yacht, thanks to my certificates IMO MASTER 500GT and CHIEF/MATE 3000GT STCW95 up to date, ENG1, extensive charter experience and strong local knowledge of the French Riviera, Italian Riviera, Pontine Isles, Campania’s Isles, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Tunisia, Adriatic Sea, Greek Ionian and Cyclades Isles.
I have eight years experience as Skipper on sailing yacht up to 24 mt, with a genuine passion for sailing and being at sea on Sailing Yachts private and charter (Sloop, Ketch, and Catamaran). Able the manage boom furling systems, furling headsails, captive reel winches and hydraulic rig functions, racing experience as tailer/bowman.
Seven years’ experience as Captain/Officer on motor yacht up to 31 mt. I got all round experience deck and engine room maintenance, electric and electronics, painting, woodwork, including fabric and general cleanliness rigging and willing to grow.
I am team player, have positive personality with a good work ethic and excellent people skills to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the yacht, natural leadership skills, confident and knowledgeable leader. I pursue safe systems of work, procedures onboard in order to ensure that the yacht is always in a seaworthy, safe and in efficient condition. I have experience in budgeting, accounting, provisioning, bunkering, internal and external refitting at shipyard confident in leading an experienced deck team and look to take an active role in the on-board development and crew’s training. To keep all charts, publications and other documentation current up to date, to plan all passages, to test and maintain all Life Saving Appliances, Firefighting equipment and keep appropriate records, with a list of spares kept on board, understanding of ISM/ISPS thanks to years as health and safety manager.
Excellent tender Skills, good water sports knowledge, snorkelling, fishing, surfing, wakeboarding, water ski, jet ski, towing toys, sail dinghy. I have a clean track record and great references to prove my ability to run a yacht and crew in a professional manner.
