Easy-going guy looking for blue water sailing adventure
Dear Skipper!
Currently living in Amsterdam, just finished a degree in Urban Planning and I have a dream of traveling the world by boat.
I have many summers of sailing experience and got my ICC. Eager to learn more about long-distance sailing and boat maintenance. Also very interested in learning free-diving!
I am an outgoing person, always in for a good laugh and I find it easy to adapt to other (social) environments. I value a good meal and like to improvise while cooking. Furthermore, I like to watch football just as much as I would like to look at maps. Always curious and interested in my surroundings. I am a novice in surfing, and used to do windsurfing more often.
The ultimate dream is overcoming great passages and sailing fair winds. Then be rewarded by cruising through beautiful blue water scenery and to forget what day it is or what civilization means.

Sailed 1800 nm
Niels was on my boat for a month sailing from Ensenada to Puerto Vallerta, he's a great guy to have on board. Experienced, diligent, pro active and always happy to get involved be it trimming sails, standing night watches, emptying the waste tank or cooking a fantastic meal. Despite some adversity, like lightning storms and splitting his knee on a winch he was always laughing and had interesting conversation. In short Niels would always be welcome aboard Windarra anytime he wanted.
