Seeking Winter Deliveries
Close to finishing my 3rd season as a charter captain in Texas. Ideally I am looking for deliveries as a way to travel and build offshore mileage.
I have multiple offshore passages under my belt: A mixture of sailing and motoring from Southern Mexico up to Los Angeles, California on a 53ft. sailing yacht, a voyage from Sydney, NSW across the Bass Strait to Hobart, TAS on a tallship, and the voyage back from Hobart to Sydney on the same tallship, a motorless journey from Sint Maarten to Rhode Island via Bermuda, and working aboard the Spanish tallship La Nao Santa Maria. Lastly, a short delivery of a 60ft. classic sailing yacht, Charm III, from Antigua to Anguilla. Over 11,000 nm and 16 months on watch on ocean vessels. Total of over 4000 hours working on maritime vessels.
Working on the course (and then exam) for a 100-ton license.
I can keep a watch, operate the vessel and its various systems, and assist in the maintenance/repair of the vessel.. I'm an Eagle Scout and tend to pick things up rather quickly. I do have countless hours of hands-on experience with navigation, knots, and cooking. I've also been trained in Wilderness First Aid & Response (for when help is 1+ hours away) and in Intermediate CPR.
Skills I hope to not use, but am glad to have when we're in need.
I'm pretty happy-go-lucky and get along with just about everyone.

Excellent Crew Member with a lot of Experience
Neil recently helped me move my sail catamaran from the Exumas to the US Virgin Islands. He was very competent, responsible and mature. He took sailing very seriously and would make an excellent crew member to assist you anywhere in the world on any passage. I will definitely have him join me again in the future and highly recommend him for your trip(s) too.
