Life on the water is a life worth living!
Hi there!
My name is Bree. I was born in San Diego, California. I spent 5 years in Hawaii working for 2 boat companys; Hawaii Ocean Project & Trilogy. I also worked at a surf school. I am cpr & lifeguard trained by the Red Cross. I have my Padi Open Water certification. I moved to Maine in 2018 & completed a 9 month traditional wooden boat building apprenticeship (Sept. 2018-June 2019).
I then moved to San Diego (where I’m from) and started working at a boat yard, crewing for a 1938 Yawl as well as Captaining 6pax vessels. I have owned & lived aboard a Catalina 30. I then decided to re-locate back on Maui to be the Junior Capt. of a 65ft catamaran. Our port was Maalea harbor which is the second windiest harbors in the world averaging 15-30kts. I wanted to follow the whales to Alaska and gain more big ship experience working as a Licensed Deckhand on a small passenger cruise ship fleet. Where I tendered guest ashore and ran small boat charters. I stayed with the ship living abroad 12hr days 7days a week for rations of 6-8 weeks on 2-3weeks off rations. I continued with the ship to its southern routes of Central America and Mexico during the off season of Alaska. I currently just finished my second season in Alaska contemplating where this winter season of 2023 will take me! My goal is to continue growing my Mariner skills and exploring all learning opportunities. During my free time I like to surf, swim, hike, yoga, read & write. I have a deep passion for boats and the sea. My sense for adventure is always on the lookout!
Feel free to send me a message with any questions(:
Thank you!
