Sailing opportunities sought particularly on the Solent and South East and East coasts of UK
I'm 66, retired (so available for long trips aswell as midweek), and triple vaccinated. I keep myself fit by playing tennis 3 times a week all year round, (when I'm not away sailing), and I enjoy cycling too. I'm a non-smoker.
I got into sailing in my mid-50s, and have sailed with various skippers over the years. I've done some fairly long trips (which have clocked up the miles), including along the south coast of England, across to France and the Channel Islands, across to Ostende and on to Holland, and in the Mediterranean. I've also sailed in the Ionian and the Aegean, along much of the coasts of Italy, Sardinia, France, Spain and Portugal, and crossed the Bay of Biscay. Only ever as crew though, not as skipper. I have approx 9,400 nms in my logbook.
I live in Maidstone, Kent, so getting down to the Solent isn't a problem; and Essex, Suffolk and Sussex are easy for me to get to aswell. I'm also within reach of 3 major airports, and am happy to join skippers who I've previously met in the UK - particularly boats in the Med and in Northern Europe.
Lastly, whilst I'm happy to sleep in the saloon, I'm afraid that I'm not prepared to share a cabin.
