Enthusiastic beginner seeks experience
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for sailing opportunities to gather experience and have adventures and fun.
So far I mostly sailed in Europe's inland waters, (primarily on lake Balaton), but I have also some sea/ocean experience (Trip on the Atlantic in 2016 from Portimao to Gibraltar then to Lanzarote, in 2017 2 weeks in 2 turns in the Adriatic, one week as crew member, one week as skipper, in 2018 across Bay of Biscay from Brest to Viveiro then to La Coruna).
In 2020 I'd like to be a novice crew, deckhand or a competent crew for about a week on a boat somewhere near the greek coasts. I'd like to get to know the customs there, know a bit about local weather, etc, because later in September I'd like to take my friends there to sail for a week).

Sailing in Portugal ??
Màtè, came aboard Questina with enthusiasm and a commitment to learn more. He is a theorist edging towards being a pragmatist, therefore, he wants to understand the reasoning behind how sail plans, reefing and trim works. Which, in my view will make a more professional sailor. He's very polite and easy going and not a bad cook. I certainly wanted one of his recipes ?. We spent time on the above, but also anchoring, heave-too and inflatable Dingy training. We covered the common 6 knots associated with sailing. All in all it was a good week and I'm sure he took some knowledge out of the week with me. I wish him good luck for the future and safe sailing
