looking to gain more sailing experience with like minded free spirits
I am based in London and willing to join a sailing venture to extend my recent sailing experience. I want to learn more and build up my experience sailing with views of taking a longer and more committed project in the future. I am reliable, friendly, open, easy going, creative and hard working. I can travel within reason to start off the journey. Ideally I´d like to sail with skipper/crew with shared interests/views on life who are also after amazing experiences and fond memories.
Really looking forward to it!
My recent experience is circumnavigating the Azores Sept/Oct 2020 - 290 nautical miles. This was my first ocean experience as crew in a 34 foot boat with an experienced skipper. It was an amazing journey. I learned the ropes, I helped in all chores nautical and other, and it also gave me a good base of what it is to ocean cruise and life on a boat. I also sailed around Lanzarote and Graciosa Jan 2022 and around Balearic islands in 2023.
I did courses RYA dingy level 1 and 2 sailing courses in the London docks in 2015 and about to take the DYA Day Skipper course (theory). I am originally a Spanish visual artist and currently teach web design and video editing if that's something you'd be interested in. I also do yoga and other sports.
I have travelled quite a bit all around the world and enjoyed the different experiences and people. It is all about the journey. I was brought up in the Bay of Biscay and I love all things about the sea.
This is my pursue of a dream.
If you have a place for me please get in touch!

From sv Mylady / Eelco
Last year by the end of October delosbueis joined me for a periode of 3,5 week on my boat " Mylady " in Praia , Terceira , Azoren . Although she never sailed on a boat like Mylady she picked up everything good. She was a nice companion to have on board. A thingh that I certainly must mention is the way how she handeled sea sickness. To prevent it she started to sing all kind of Spanish and English songs. And the singing was good to hear.
