Looking for a Novice Crew, Voluntary work or Deckhand position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. After 4 years in the Marine Corps and a couple more drifting solo through the world, I figured it was time to stop staring at boats from beaches and actually step on one. I’ve always romanticized the idea of sailing — stars above, salt in the air, deep chats, strong coffee, and maybe a flying fish smacking someone in the face now and then.
I spent 6 consecutive months on a ship doing all sorts of things. But I’ve got zero actual hands on sailing experience, but I’m a quick learner, a calm presence, and I could probably scrub a deck like it owes me money. I’m not looking for a selfie session — I’m here to learn, to contribute, and to be part of something cool! You handle the helm, I’ll handle the dishes (and maybe ask a hundred questions along the way).
If you’re looking for someone curious, respectful, and chill under pressure (plus maybe good for a story or two), I’d be honored to hop aboard.
