Looking for a Novice Crew, Friendship or Voluntary work position
Hi - I'm looking for a trip, ideally around Raja Ampat, in April 2025. I've been travelling for several months, and have been volunteering on a two month coral reef propagation project in the Gilis. I'd like to get some sailing experience and have a little adventure, if possible, before I head back home.
My background:
I am focusing on practical and agroecological solutions to the climate, ecological and social crises we are facing.
I recently finished my main role as a Woodland Adviser for the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group in the UK. As much as I loved my role as Woodland Adviser, I decided to take some time to explore some other interests - including travel, writing a book (wish me luck!) oh, and learning to sail - across the Atlantic - hopefully with dozens of scientists, activists and politicians - to speak up for indigenous and marginalised communities effected by climate change, biodiversity loss and ocean acidification. I'm now giving some of my time and energy towards Flotilla4Change, a project organising a flotilla of boats crossing from Europe to Brazil for COP30.
I am also self-employed, including course co-facilitation with Transition Together, helping communities to transition to a more sustainable future.
I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Friendship or Voluntary work. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
