Highly motivated and dedicated Able Bodied Seaman with over 4 years of maritime experience. Volunteering to acquire more hands on experience sailing and working on multihull yachts. Working toward my USCG Master License and RYA Coastal Skippers Endorsement. Learning from the best skippers and deckhands is key to my success. I’m dedicated to being a valuable asset to the skipper and the crew.
I fell in love with sailing when I was 12 in Hawaii on a Hobie Cat. My father purchased a Catalina Spirit 28 in the 80’s. We sailed her over the years through the Sacramento Delta and local lakes. My wife Joy and I jumped straight into the dream of sailing the world and have set our goals to take our kids to the ends of the earth.
Enlisting in the Navy at 17, I was assigned to the Pacific Fleet as a Boatswains Mate by 19. After dedicating 4 years steaming the Pacific Ocean as a Boatswains Mate, I received a honorable discharge. My maritime experiences helped me gain new employment with Coastal Transportation in Seattle on the M/V Coastal Trader. Moving freight and bait to Dutch Harbor and transporting the fresh catch back to Seattle.
