Looking for a Novice Crew position
I'm interested in finding a position as a novice crew member. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and gain more sailing experience. Currently receiving sailing lessons and enjoying the experience.
I'm an avid and experienced traveller and trekker, spent months in the Himalayas just getting about and exploring, have slept on the shores of Gallipoli as well as two solo Kokoda Track crossings in PNG to say the least. Was chased by a wolf pack once while trekking the Balkans and I'm still here - I have plenty of stories to tell. I'm retired and have time on my hands. I can be best described as a minimalist - I don't need much and I'm happy with what I have.
The fun stuff ...I'm young at heart, fit, friendly and sociable. I love music and energy. Cooking Greek meals runs in my veins and I think I do it well.
The boring stuff ...I'm a trained immediate/crisis/situation responder - I follow routine well. Advanced first aid and CPR certified. In my younger days I was a general aviation private pilot, so I still retain a good knowledge of navigation albeit in an aeronautical sense.
My hopes are to gain as much sailing experience as possible through hands-on activity and to watch and learn from those who can teach me new skills. Australian and Schengen Area passport holder.
