Looking for a Competent Crew, Novice Crew or Friendship position
My name is Anna, and I’m a recent graduate looking to build on my experience at sea and join a crew for a voyage in Jan/Feb. With an RYA Competent Crew qualification and a strong foundation in dinghy sailing, I’m excited to maximise my time on the water before starting a graduate job in March.
I began sailing as a teenager, racing GP14s and Wayfarers in 12- and 24-hour team events. I’ve also crewed a Flying Fifteen and spent many hours sailing my beloved green Laser on the lake near my parents' house. In 2017, I earned my RYA Competent Crew certification aboard a tall ship named Stavros S Niarchos, crossing the English Channel from Portsmouth to Cherbourg and back—a thrilling introduction to open-sea sailing. I was involved with setting the sails, night watch (supervised by other crew members) and galley duty.
Now that I’ve graduated from university, I’m ready to return to the water before starting my graduate job in March. Whether as Competent Crew, Novice Crew, or in a friendship role, I’m focused on gaining sea miles and contributing wherever I’m needed. Based in the UK, I’m happy to travel to the starting point of a voyage and bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and a love for the sea to any crew.
Looking forward to sailing with you!
