Looking for a Competent Crew
Hi - After taking early retirement I'm looking to sail for adventure and friendship .
I have the RYA Day Skipper qualification for tidal waters (which gave me the International Certificate of Competence).
My sea experience is limited but my head is in the right place. I have skippered on holiday flotillas in non-tidal waters and crewed occasionally on the south coast of the UK.
Most of my regular sailing is in sailing dinghies - cruising and camping on board: Small scale adventure but a lot of fun!
My ambitions include exploring the Frisian Islands (ever since reading The Riddle of the Sands as a youngster) and making a significant sea passage.
So, I'm looking to join a boat as a Competent Crew who is ready to take on responsibility if required. Say hello and see if we suit each other.
