Looking for a Bosun position
One never forgets your first sailing experience. I have been sailing since I was 7 years old and then progressed to sailing competitively on Optimist, ILCA and Dart 18 sailing dinghies. After school I was able to share my passion for sailing as the Dinghy Development Officer at Zululand Yacht Club.
My love for open Ocean sailing began when a local Captain approached me to join him on a luxurious 22m sailing Catamaran. I have since done over 15 000 nm along the infamous East African Coast. Sailing in the treacherous Indian Ocean has given me extensive knowledge and experience that very few other places could provide. "Smooth seas do not make skilful sailors."
From navigating through shallow archipelagos, uncharted areas and the challenges that comes with remote places has crafted the utmost confidence in my abilities. I have also had the privilege of working on some of the most luxurious vessels on the East African Coastline.
My attention to detail and meticulous maintenance aboard is one of my most valued qualities. Effective communication plays an important role to ensure the safety of owners, guests and crew. My ability to remain calm and collected in stressful situations results in a relaxed atmosphere aboard.
Given the opportunity, I assure to take pride in my responsibilities with an enthusiastic and professional attitude. I am dedicated to running a smooth and efficient vessel that provides the owner and guests the best possible experience.
Looking forward to hearing from you in the near future.
