Looking for a Novice Crew position
Hello,
Let me introduce myself: my name is Roman, I’m 26 years old. I’m finishing my contract in geophysics in mid-October, but before transitioning to become a secondary school mathematics teacher, I would like to fulfil one of my dreams, a dream like Corto Maltese’s: to cross the Atlantic.
I am an enthusiastic, passionate, easy-going, and willing person. I am also athletic (bouldering, rollerblading, salsa dancing, hiking) and I enjoy playing games (chess, card games, role-playing games, board games, crossword puzzles).
Of course, I will contribute to the ship’s expenses, and I want to help with navigation. As for my navigation experience, I am a beginner. However, I have already spent a week sailing in the Mediterranean and I participated in a seismic survey off the coast of Nice. I was in the engine room, monitoring the screens, and despite the smell of diesel, my seasick colleagues, and the oppressive atmosphere in the room, I stayed in great shape!
My contract ends on October 14th, but I need to help my family in the vineyards for 1-2 weeks, so I will only be available at the beginning of November (unless we progress faster than expected).
I can travel to any port on the East Atlantic to join you. I am excited about the idea of embarking on this adventure with you and would be delighted to have a call or a video chat if you’d like.
I hope to see you soon on the sailboat!
Roman
