Looking to be part of a Crew, Voluntary work, Mile building, Crew position
Hi - I'm adventurous, experienced, available now, can fly anywhere to help crew your boat, interested in finding passages, voluntary, mile building or general Crew / friendship.
Certificates: RYA Skipper certified, Radio certified, Marine Licence, car licence, OHS certified, scuba trained/certified. Project Management Diploma, OHS Certificates.
Sailing experience: multi-day & night watches including keeping watch by myself, short hand sailing, navigation experience, sail setting, basic DIY, anchoring proficient, docking proficient, RYA Skipper licence, cooking & cleaning & I am also an experienced yacht owner (Cavalier 45).
- I am easy going, organised, systematic, good communicator, enjoy challanges, hard work & love learning.
- I am a keen swimmer & swim teacher, Certified diver, I am a pretty good cook and love international foods.
- I have more than 20 years sailing experience. I am a Project Manager by trade, typically I deliver architectural and landscape design projects, playgrounds and infrastructure projects in the areas of public use space.
- I own a 45 foot cruising yacht (Cavalier 45 Davidson Design) located in Melbourne, see picture. I also look for crew to sail about Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne.
- Areas sailed: French and spannish coast. UK to France channel crossing. English coast including Falmouth, pool, portsmouth & Southhampton. Melbourne Port Phillip Bay. Whitsundays, Australia. Australian coast from Newcastle to Sydney & Sydney to Melbourne.
- I am looking to join owners and cruisers to:
1. help out for 1 to 6 weeks. Will consider longer for the right experience / Ocean crossing. I am looking to gain experience in larger ocean crossings, its on the bucket list.
2. Small, medium & longer passages in Australia, Oceana, Indian Ocean, Pacific, indo/malay etc and everything inbetween. Would consider an Americas to Oceanic Isles passage(s).
3. Short term crew for weekends locally near Melbourne. Also looking for crew to have fun when not sailing other peoples boats :)
4. Gain more experience, learn from others, gain different perspectives.
5. Help out. I am flexable, self funded.
