Australian east coast
Crew sought for cruising the east coast of Australia, and covid permitting, beyond. Experience is not essential, but you must be eager to learn.
The yacht is a Sparkman & Stephens 34, well regarded as safe, solid, seaworthy vessels. She is cutter-rigged, with staysail, 130% genoa, fully battened mainsail, trysail and spinnaker, has electronic and wind vane self steering, AIS, multiple VHF and HF radios, Iridium Go satellite connection, full safety gear, 6 berths (one which is used for stowage), a great sound system, TV, fridge, ice box, gas stove, heating, but no hot water (showers are solar hot water) and limited stowage.
We currently do various local trips in south and eastern Tasmania, ultimately with the dream of cruising the east coast of Australia, the western Pacific and Indonesia - when the pandemic permits.
Crew are expected to share the view that safety is the main priority, be flexible with time schedules, be passionate about sailing, have some experience or be eager to learn. You should have a thirst for adventure, concern for the environment, desire for sustainable travel, and a happy, easy going nature.
