Sailing in the Sea of Cortez

I am currently in the Loreto area, waiting for wind to sail to La Paz. I'd love to do a long spinnaker run, do you want to trim the chute?
It's 10/12/2022 and I am looking to leave as soon as the weather cooperates. I can go in lighter wind if I get crew. Contact me ASAP.

I also have a free diving champion and instructor coming to the boat in November for 3 weeks. If you are interested in freediver training, yoga, and swimming with large marine mammals, I still have a spot left.

Looking for like minded individuals who want to share the experience of sailing in the beautiful Sea of Cortez or mainland Mexico. The skipper has over 17k nautical miles in Mexican waters, and over 2000nm single handing. He runs a facebook group called Sea of Cortez Sailors, with over 3000 active members, and is well known in the cruising community. He published a cook book and a guide for buying a sailboat in Mexico.

Ideal crew should be happy, easy going, and in good physical condition. Typical days include sailing, snorkeling, free diving, fishing, beach combing, and good food and drinks! There is an emphasis on good food on this boat--everything is made from scratch, with an emphasis on healthy and organic.

You are expected to chip in and help with keeping the boat clean and looking good. I can teach snorkeling, free diving, spearfishing, sailing, navigation, anchoring, fishing, SUP, maintenance, just about anything cruising related.. I am in to yoga, meditation, and like to fill the boat with circus type people. Do you do aerial silks? fire dancing? be sure to mention that when you brag about how little water you can use to wash the dishes!

Crew is expected to contribute. Think living like a 1%er for the cost of a hostel. No children or pets!

If you are looking for an adventure you have arrived to the right place! Sailing in volare was an amazing experience for us! The captain Jason taught us everything about sailing from the get go. He is an easy going, patient guy who has a lot of experience and knowledge to give. We went snorkeling, paddle boarding and so much more! Jason is the best chef in the sea of cortez ! We enjoyed every meal with him:) We really recommend this experience, had a blast!
