Beginner Sailing Adventure
Relaxed sailing adventure with the aim of making friends, surfing casual waves, practicing Spanish, helping people along the way (drop offs, new destinations and goals), and just living healthy (I don’t smoke or drink). I am a single 41 year old male with US and Canadian citizenship, semi-retired status supporting parents in the USA with occasional visits to see them. Friends on the Atlantic and Pacific, experience traveling in Mexico, Latin America, South America, Europe, and Asia (Thailand in particular).
I have access to a motor yacht in Seattle, and a Catalina 30 sailboat in Long Beach California, but am at the beginning phases of a Caribbean (or other tropical relaxed) adventure and would not like to take either of these existing family boats through the Panama Canal due to speed limitations and high cost. I am considering the purchase of an adventure boat on site, and this posting is more of a starting point to find a likeminded companion or companions who can enjoy, teach, and share their adventure goals. I plan to purchase a boat, and fund its operation, but am always trying to live frugally. Thanks, and happy sailing!
