Caribbean Cruising

Hi all,
I will spend the coming season solo sailing around the eastern Caribbean islands, leaving from Trinidad the first week of January up the islands. Would love to pick up some crew to share the adventure with while at it.

Rather than a sailing expert (even though experience is appreciated), I'm simply looking for someone with the same interests namely: sailing, surfing, fishing, listening to good music on full volume, sunset beers, and appreciating mother nature.

The boat is a racer cruiser, First 47.7, 4 double cabin layout, ready and equipped for safe and fast offshore passages. Watermaker, electric winches and PFD's to name a few.

The rough itinerary is looking as follows:
December - January: Yard works in Trinidad
Early January: Sail up to BVI's with a one week stop in Grenada. Surf in BVI's till we feel like
January - April: Cruise the Eastern Caribbean
May: Crossing to Barcelona via Azores.

Do you think you suit the profile, and do you have time on your side?
Reach out and let's get to know each other.

Cheers,
Junior

Sailing legends in the making….

I had the unbelievable good fortune to join la Luna from Spain to the canaries. The boat is huge, I had a cabin to myself and my own heads, with warm water and a seated shower. The provisioning was excellent, a cupboard of sweets and always plenty fresh fruit for night watch. At the time we ran 2hrs on 4off through the night, 3hrs on 6off through daylight. Which actually works really well , I was surprised I think I prefer it to the 4on, because everyone takes a load on the difficult watches, everyone experiences the good sailing moments and 2 hours on hand steering goes quick. You also get to see all the crew regularly. This was an early shakedown run, so we had great opportunity to try lots of different sail plans and rigging which was brilliant, but most most importantly is the crew. The guys let me have a huge input and equal input into nearly every decision, I felt myself not only heard, but part of the process. I was made at home from the first day.
