One more crew for Pacific adventure

Crew Wanted for Long Distance Pacific Adventure from January 2025.

As an experienced and qualified skipper, I am seeking an additional crew member to support me (M)and my crew member (F) in a long-distance sailing adventure across the Pacific Ocean. Ideally you will have some sailing experience, be fit and healthy and have the means to share expenses, estimated at US $20 per day for costs incurred on each leg: fuel, food and drink, and to pay for your own flights. You will need to be tolerant of the other crew and willing to join in various tasks including– hauling lines, keeping watch, cooking, cleaning, shopping and maintenance.

The sailing plan is outlined below but may be subject to change depending on weather and other circumstances.

January/February
In late January we will navigate through the Panama Canal and sail towards the islands of Las Perlas. From Las Perlas we will then sail towards Guayaquil, Ecuador

March/April
In March we will leave Ecuador and head to Easter Island. We then sail from Easter Island to Pitcairns and French Polynesia via Gambiers.

May/June/July
We will spend a long time going through all the beautiful Polynesian islands.

August/October
We will sail onwards to New Zealand.

It is important to note that once the boat leaves Ecuador there are few places to stop, and fewer places to fly home from, although it is possible to join the boat for shorter legs.

The boat is a North Wind 435, a 13m centre cockpit sloop with 3 cabins – 2 doubles and a double bunk cabin. It has 1000W of solar power, enough to run our daily needs including - a small water maker, fridge, navigational equipment, and to charge up the electric outboard. Fully loaded it is 14 tonnes, so we travel fairly slowly and safely. As skipper, I have recently completed 3 seasons in the Mediterranean. I set off with crew from Gibraltar in September 2023, crossed the Atlantic in November and spent the 2024 season in the Caribbean. I am now ready for the next leg. I’m travelling the world in my own boat and would like to share the adventure
