Captain - Permanent - Min exp 5 years - €Negotiable, based on experience - General (Europe)
As you read this, a luxury sailing vessel is being built by a highly respected blue-water sailing vessel manufacturer. She is being designed to a high specification by an actively involved Owner with her handover anticipated in the UK (spring 2025).
During her first year, including the basic handover, check-out, provisioning and setup activities, her sailing is expected to remain within European coastal waters, hopefully including Scandinavia, Great Britain and Ireland, and the Mediterranean.
She is seeking an experienced skipper/captain (or skipper/couple) with RYA Yachtmaster level certifications and blue-water experience both to join and support recreational live-aboard sailing adventures with her Owner and his guests (friends and family only).
Owner expects to be actively involved in sailing and managing the yacht as his time and experience allows. Owner expects to work with Captain to hire a second experienced crew member. The goal is to create a safe, well-run, well-planned, and fun sailing yacht environment for all on-board.
After the first 12+ months, a passage to the Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands, and across the Atlantic is expected. Plans open for discussion and modification.
