ORC57 Looking for someone happy to learn and share the journey
I am looking for a motivated crew member to join my catamaran, an ORC 57 – a highly equipped performance cruising catamaran. If you are capable of standing watch during navigation, eager to improve your sailing skills, and ready for an incredible adventure at sea, this opportunity is for you!
Mission:
Participate in navigation and stand watches – a true second-in-command role.
Develop skills in sail handling and navigation techniques.
Oversee the boat's care and maintenance, managing both the vessel's upkeep and logistics throughout the year.
Duration:
I’m looking for someone willing to commit for the season or the entire year, with a long-term perspective.
Program:
Spring 2025: Preparing the boat in TUNISIA.
Summer: To be determined – exploring Malta, Albania, Montenegro, then Turkey, and possibly the Black Sea.
Autumn: Heading back to the western Mediterranean to prepare for the transatlantic crossing.
End of 2025: Crossing the Atlantic to explore the Caribbean.
Desired Profile:
Aged 18–45, ideally solo; couples are also welcome.
Reliable, self-sufficient, and willing to learn. Sailing knowledge is appreciated (e.g., weather analysis, standing day/night watch, maintenance, etc.). Ability to maintain and monitor the boat at anchor or in port.
Conditions:
Life on board in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere. Crew cabin when guests are aboard; guest cabin for passages (48+ hours at sea).
All shared expenses covered, except personal extras ashore and transport.
