Phuket and Phang Nga Bay Islands later to Suez
Hi, I started to fulfill my long-cherished dream in July 2019 and went on a longterm trip. I started in Croatia, sailed the Mediterranean, crossed the Atlantic January 2020, sailed almost the whole Caribbean (east and west) and crossed the Pacific single handed May 2023.
Currently I’m sailing in Thailand/Phuket and Phang Nga Bay, exploring the islands here and I would like to share this journey with someone else.
Around February I will cross the Indian Ocean, Red Sea and Suez into the Mediterranean with stops in Sri Lanka or Maldives and Djibouti.
I'm looking for one kind, open minded, crewmember, who likes to sail with me and have a hand for the boat for a part or the whole trip.
Own cabin is of course available.
Some sailing experience for crossings would be fine, for coastal sailing and island hopping experience is not essential.
I will be glad to teach you some more about sailing.
Hop on hop off is possible (almost) at any time.
I’m flexible in my timeline and destinations also towards ideas from crewmates,
Safety, no time stress and enjoying are top priority.
I’m sailing since more than 20 years and owned my Boat 15 years ago, a save 10m/33ft steel yacht of BrucerRoberts, equipped with solar power, watermaker, active AIS, EPIRB etc. for long-haul and single-handed with 3 cabins for up to 4 persons.
If you like to discover foreign countries, sailing, hiking, snorkeling, swimming, maybe kite surfing, enjoy a Sundowner, a laid back lifestyle, get on with the close on board and have enough time-out and want life your dream then you are welcome.
If you’re interested don't hesitate do contact me.
From Australia to Indonesia, three months aboard the Taloa
I met Gregor in Australia and had the pleasure of sailing on the Taloa from Cairns to Lombok. He is incredibly calm and respectful, as well as a very experienced sailor with extensive knowledge of navigation and the ability to fix just about anything. For instance, when our water pump broke, he had it repaired in just one morning! My time aboard the Taloa was super comfortable and relaxed. His patience is commendable, I will always be grateful because he took the time to teach me so many valuable skills and lessons about sailing and about boats in general. I never felt insecure at any point. We adapted the itinerary to suit both our interests, and before I knew it, three months had flown by! I still can't believe how lucky I am to have met Gregor. I definitely recommend sailing with him, and I hope I can join him on some of his future adventures, which I have no doubt will be incredibly interesting! Fair winds! :)
