2025 Spain Northern coast short Sailing training trips

Short sailing training trips on a very well equipped Nautor Swan 38'.

NO PERMANENT NOR PAID POSITIONS

Training includes but is not limited to :
Sail management and trimming, sail changes at sea. Steering in any weather conditions. Dead reckoning and other non GPS navigation practice.
Swinging mooring, and shallow waters navigation, night time coastal and inland navigation.
This will be sailing offshore and along only off the coasts of Asturias and Galicia.
Open to few experienced crew members, but preferably with theory acquired background.

Life vest is provided, but no sailing gears, so you will have to bring your ones (good quality, it is winter sailing in the Atlantic).
Preferably no heavy smokers on board for the comfort of every one ; and of course no alcohol at sea, and no drugs at all on the boat.
Daily fees 125€ per crew.

Aviles to Azores

Joined Stephane for a passage from Aviles to the Azores, which I used as my Ocean qualifying passage. I was made very welcome on board his very well maintained and comfortable boat from the start. Stephane runs a very happy and relaxed boat and goes out his way to make sure that you are well looked after and well fed on passage. Stephane has a wealth of maritime knowledge which I certainly benefited from both by observation and discussion. I would not hesitate to recommend sailing with Stephane and I’m contemplating doing so again if he does ventures into the high latitudes.

I stayed with Stephane for about a month in 2018. He welcomed me onto his boat and treated me like family. Working with him was a genuine pleasure, and his passion for sailing and the sea is contagious. I would highly recommend a trip with him and the Grynning to any person wishing to get out on the water.
