Boat descriptionWe actually have four historic vessels in Sydney, including three sailing ships. All vessels are built of timber and comply to the strict safety standards required in Australia. Our two larger vessels, Southern Swan and Soren Larsen are 210 tonnes and 295 tonnes displacement. They were built in Denmark in 1922/1948. Their maximum speed is about ten knots and they can sail about 75 degrees to windward - good for broad reaching and running! The baby of our fleet, Ho-Ho II (currently named Coral Trekker) is a famous Norwegian vessel with an amazing history. She was built in 1949 and displaces 50 tonnes. Crew are accommodated in comfortable cabin bunks and receive three meals per day in addition to the bursary and tall ship training.
