Semi retired skipper who used to sail single handed a lot is enjoying having company onboard and there is safety in numbers:). You can be novice or experienced, more important we get on. Not in to overnight passages unless essential as much prefer staying over...

Had my own boat since 2021 after training, mile builders and chartering. Currently doing my Coastal/YM Theory.

Easy going and fairly chatty, always happy to explain how to do something and would rather someone asks rather than struggle but it is also nice to learn new things from experienced crew members, you are never to old to learn something new:)

Enjoy eating out rather than cooking but can knock up a good cooked breakfast and a decent evening meal if we are all too tired to venture ashore at the end of a days sailing.

  • Boat descriptionNot a racing boat but nice and sturdy and with a fin keel so points fairly well in to the wind. I consider the boat well equipped and comfy and stocked with plenty of snacks, food and drink. Cabins and saloon heated for winter sailing. Works well for single handed sailing so really easy with some crew. Life jackets and life lines onboard for Crew members to use but bring appropriate clothing for time of year. Full up to date chart plotter at helm and chart table, Radar, AIS, Auto helm and all paper charts for passage planning. Usual safety equipment incl. 6 man life raft (recently serviced,) EPIRB, DSC VHF Radio, Handheld VHF, PLB, MOB Sling, up to date flare pack as well as Horseshoe & Danbuoy and boat is fitted with smoke, carbon-monoxide and bilge gas alarms to help keep us safe. USB charge sockets in all cabins, 6 in total so enough for everyone. Boat and engine annually serviced and everything onboard is working and up to date - more than I could say about some of the charter boats I have been on:(

A pleasure to sail with

I just finished a great weekend of relaxing sailing in good company. Paul is easygoing and very safe as well as being very well organised. I'm looking forward to my next trip with him on his well kitted out boat.

Its been an absolute delight to sail with Paul on his beautiful immaculate boat. Paul is so easy to get on with, his planning is really organised, he is very safe, cares about his crew and is incredibly hospitable and fun. I have sailed with a lot of skippers and Paul is one of the best. Thank you Paul and see you soon 

Lovely boat and great skipper

I've been on 2 trips with Paul and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. Porschia is a very comfortable, clean and well equipped boat and Paul is an ever so friendly, safety conscious and knowledgeable skipper. Whether you're a beginner or have experience, you'll have a great time with East Coast Sailing. All the best for future trips, Craig
