I planned to do a world circumnavigation since I started sailing with 9. After retiring 2021 I bought and refitted my personal “Time AUT“, a Beneteau Oceanis 523 with generator, watermaker, solar panels, dive compressor, new sails and a lot of more equipment for safety, comfort and elegance.
In April 2023 I started in Sardegna, visiting South France and Spain and then heading for Gibraltar, Madeira to Las Palmas. We joined the ARC 2023. For the rest of 2023 and 2024 I sailed the Caribbean from St. Lucia to Trindad / Tobago and then all the way up to Puerto Rico, Dominican Rupublic, Bahamas and up and down the US Eastcoat. X-mas and Newyear will be on Jamaica, befor we start to Sin Blaas and Panama.
In January 2025 we will cross the Panama Canal and then will continue with the American Westcoast along Costa Rica, Mexico, Bahia Califormia, US Coast do Canada and maybe even to Alaska. By end of the year we will cross to Hawaii and by beginning of 2026 to Tahiti.
From Tahiti on we will sail the "barfoot route".
Concerning security everything necessary for a world circumnavigation is installed plus lots of comfort details, ….
For boat performances Spinnaker, Blue Water Runner, Code Zero, Gennaker, … (deep in my heart I‘m still a regatta sailor).
I like to take crew with me because I like to get to know new people, cultures, countries, ... The crews contribution depends on yours skills concerning sailing, provisioning or just enjoy recreational sailing as part of a world circum navigation,
If you want to join for some legs or a longer "Time AUT" please write me a PM.
Thanks, Thomas

6Tom is absolutely amazing!
I joined Tom for 5 days as crew on his vessel, Time AUT, from Fort Lauderdale to Jacksonville Florida. Tom is an absolutely amazing captain and person overall. He is extremely knowledgeable of all things sailing and prioritizes safety. A goal of mine has been to improve my sailing skills and Tom was a great teacher. He was always quick to answer any questions and extend his knowledge of sailing. After sailing with Tom, I not only consider him an amazing captain and teacher but also a great friend! I’m excited to follow his journey and hopefully crew for him again!

Couldn't Have Asked For A Better Captain
Tom was an absolute delight. Not only is he enjoyable to be around (and that matters when you spend 2 weeks on a boat with someone) but he's also a very knowledgeable and experienced captain. We got hit with a couple random storms and Tom was cool as a cucumber. I was new to sailing and keen on learning the ropes and Tom was an amazing teacher. All in all, couldn't have asked for a better captain.

What a beautiful, well equipped boat and what an experienced skipper. Thomas is everytime at Regatta mode which makes the saling to something outstanding .. how to trim the sails to get faster, how to set the best course to adopt the wind conditions and reach the outmost ... training session through all stay long :-) Be aware - cooks are more than highly wellcomed :-) and very much appreciated besides your sailing support . A great and highest recommandable team - Captain Tom and his TimeAut

Adventure of my life!
Me and my friends were searching for an adventure and were hoping for something but we got everything. Thomas was not just an amazing captain but also a nice person and someone i would spend my time with every day again. My expectations of the sailing trip were exceeded in every respect and thomas played a big part in this. Also the Time AUT is an awsome ship. Now after almost 4 weeks of sailing i am still searching for the right wording the express the joy that i had on this trip, so all i can say is that with all my hearth i couldnt imagine a better ship with a better captain then Thomas with the TimeAUT!

Tenerife to Lanzarote
I had the most amazing experince with Thomas and Time Aut, sailing the Canarian Islands. Thomas is a very experienced and safe sailor. He holds lots of knoweldge both in sailing and in general, and generously shares it. He’s a very good instructor and keeps calm even in stressful situations. Thomas is always nice and polite, making his crew feel comfortable and is also an interesting person to be around. The boat is beautiful, well equipped, clean and very well maintained.

Bahama's to FL 2024
I spent three weeks on Thomas' yacht and from day one felt safe and secure due to his excellent sailing experience and knowledge. He was always very happy to share and teach, as well as making me feel very welcome and indeed part of his round the world adventure. Importantly, I was made to feel at home, something which is very important when there are just two of you for three weeks of intense sailing. We successfully caught and filleted a Mahi Mahi and Wahoo which was fantastic fun. I would thoroughly recommend crewing with Thomas and would very much welcome a chance to sail with him again.
